In a fluidized bed freezers we use to use the food solids to be frozen are fluidized by refrigerated air at temperatures of -40°C or below. All technology professionals describes freezing as the most significant of the food applications of fluidization in which the product is individually quick frozen (IQF), i.e. it is free flowing, undamaged and attractively glazed. Products frozen in a flu­idized bed are easier to handle subsequent to the freezing stage of the process and suffer lower weight loss than those frozen in a continuous moving belt blast freezer whilst at the same time they are true IQF products. Frozen products' mass loss is typically less than 1%. Fluidized bed freezing is generally reported as being suitable for uni­formly shaped food pieces of diameter up to about 40 mm and has found wide application in the freezing of fruits and vegetables.

So fluidization method application for l.Q.F. products enables instantaneous freezing of raw materials that's why the vegetables keep their main biologically active and food components. Besides, the suitable packaging facilitates effective storage, as well as dish preparation at home.

 Quick frozen fruit and berries practically keep all the easy digest carbohydrates, organic acids, vitamins, mineral elements, as well as other properties in them. After defrosting they are ready not only for immediate use but also for fruit mixes (fruit salads) and flour confectionery.
